WORDSPIRED MOMENT OF IMPACT | Day 8 | Growing in Spiritual Understanding | Kay J - Daniels

Day 8: Growing in Spiritual Understanding

Meditation:
Spiritual understanding leads to growth in the knowledge of God, resulting in a fruitful life. Spiritual insight allows us to see things from God’s perspective, enabling us to walk in victory. Understanding is the power to perceive beyond the natural.

Spiritual understanding is faith. Faith is the ability to grasp what occurs in the realm of the spirit. Every time faith is mentioned in scripture, it is in connection with spiritual understanding. The woman with the issue of blood demonstrated this when she said in her heart, "If I may but touch the hem of his garment, I shall be made whole." Jesus affirmed her understanding, saying, "Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace." (Luke 8:48).

Another profound example is the Syrophoenician woman in Matthew 15:21-28. Despite Jesus' initial response referring to her as unworthy, she displayed great faith by recognizing her opportunity and shifting her perspective. She compared herself to a dog eating crumbs from the master's table. Jesus, marveling at her insight, declared, "O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt." Her daughter was healed instantly. Similarly, Mark 7:24-30 recounts the same event, emphasizing the power of faith born out of spiritual understanding.

The centurion in Matthew 8:5-13 also exemplified this principle. When Jesus offered to visit his house, the centurion responded with remarkable spiritual perception, saying, "Speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed." He understood authority, relating it to spiritual matters. Jesus marveled and proclaimed, "Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." This was faith driven by deep spiritual insight.

Hebrews 5:14 states, "But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." This verse underscores the necessity of a mature, spiritually trained mind to develop great faith. Many religious individuals struggle to experience the reality of great faith because they fail to engage the mind of Christ.

Commanding the miraculous, a product of spiritual understanding, requires boldness in approaching God. 1 Corinthians 2:16 affirms, "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ."

The mind of Christ is the evidence of spiritual understanding, which is faith in action. Spiritual understanding gives substance to our hope, providing undeniable evidence from the living Word of God.

I pray that your spiritual understanding will come alive right now!

  1. Thank you so much for this sir. It's a beautiful message that faith is not the blind acceptance of a mystery but an understanding of it. 🙏🏽
