Day 25: Understanding Submission to the Kings will | WORDSPIRED MOMENT OF IMPACT by Olukayode J Daniels

Day 25: Understanding Submission to the Kings will

Meditation

Key Scripture: Romans 8:28 NLT

Understanding the Kingdom Agenda

Every kingdom functions according to a defined agenda, and God’s kingdom is no different. As kingdom citizens, we must intentionally align with His divine purpose while being vigilant against worldly influences that can distract us from His will.

Jesus, our perfect example, demonstrated absolute submission to the Father’s will in the Garden of Gethsemane. Though His flesh wrestled with the weight of the cross, He ultimately surrendered, saying:
"Not My will, but Yours be done." (Matthew 26:36-39)

Likewise, our spiritual maturity is measured by our willingness to yield to God’s plans, even when they don’t align with our personal desires.

The Kingdom Citizen’s Disposition

True kingdom living requires wholehearted surrender. We cannot selectively obey God—He must be Lord over every aspect of our lives, or He is not Lord at all.

  • Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God’s plans are always for our good, even when we do not fully understand them.
  • Isaiah 46:9-11 MSG reinforces the certainty of His sovereignty. God is irreplaceable and unmatched, and His decrees stand firm.

When we embrace this truth, we develop unshakable trust in God, knowing that He sees beyond our present and orchestrates events for our ultimate good.

Faith in the King’s Decrees

God’s word is final. When He speaks, it is as good as done, regardless of how circumstances may appear. Our role as kingdom citizens is not to question His authority but to trust His process.

Even in moments of uncertainty, we must remember:

  • God is working behind the scenes (Romans 8:28).
  • His purpose will always prevail (Isaiah 46:10).
  • Our submission unlocks divine possibilities beyond our imagination.

Reflection:

Are you fully submitted to God’s will in every area of your life? What areas do you still struggle to surrender to Him? Pray and ask for the grace to trust in His perfect plan.

CALL TO SALVATION

True intimacy and bonding begin with a relationship with God. Without Christ, it is impossible to experience the fullness of love, joy, and peace in our relationships.

Jesus Christ is inviting you today:

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him and will sup with him, and he with me." – Revelation 3:20

If you desire to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ today, say this prayer with sincerity:

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again for my salvation. Today, I accept Him as my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to walk in love and righteousness. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, welcome to the family of God! Seek a Bible-believing church and grow in faith and godly relationships.

Spread the Word!

If this message has inspired you, don’t keep it to yourself. Share it with your friends and loved ones—someone needs this word today!
