As we pursue effectiveness in life, ministry, and leadership, it is crucial to embrace foundational habits that ensure lasting transformation. Drawing from Stephen R. Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, let’s explore what we must understand on this journey, complemented by biblical meditation, insights from notable teachers, and prayers to fortify our pursuit.
1. Be Proactive – Embracing Responsibility
"The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly." – Proverbs 20:27
To be effective, we must take responsibility for our growth. We are not victims of circumstances but stewards of God's wisdom. Dr. Myles Munroe taught that vision without discipline leads to frustration. Effectiveness begins with ownership of our actions and a commitment to godly principles.
